Grandma Florence blueberry Cobbler


  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups of flour
  •  1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup milk


  • 5 cups of fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup of maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoon of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter


  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Add the blueberries to a baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the 2 tablespoons of flour over the blueberries and mix gently.
  4. Pour the maple syrup over the blueberries.
  5. Add the butter on the blueberries. Set aside.
  6. In a stand mixer bowl, add the sugar and the butter and mix until smooth.
  7. Add the eggs and mix until even texture.
  8. Mix the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside.
  9. Add the flour mixture to the mixer bowl in 3 parts alternating with the milk.
  10. Spoon the dough over the blueberry mixture.
  11. Bake for approximately 40 minutes or until the fruits are bubbling and the dough is golden brown.
